Meet King's Fishermen Outreach, founder, John Romero.
John's wife, Stepfanie Romero a former elementary teacher and children's author. John and Stepfanie have four young adult daughters, a sweet grandbaby, four fur babies, they run a small family business and use every chance they get to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through this organization, John has mentored many youth by sharing his love for the great outdoors and his love for God. He has not forgotten his roots and has committed to going back to his own childhood community to encourage, motivate and be a light to young boys from single family homes and struggling communities.
Our Story
I've always had a love for the great outdoors, but I never knew that God would use it to reach souls. What started out as a typical day at the golf range in the middle of an inner city neighborhood, the community I grew up in, became the pathway to starting King's Fishermen Outreach. I had noticed a group of kids crossing the greens and headed to the pond with their fishing pole. I later saw them walking back across the greens disappointed that they didn't catch anything. I yelled out to them next time you will then gave them some fishing pointers. Before long, they became my first group to join me for one of my fishing trips. They enjoyed it so much they invited their friends on the next campout and King's Fishermen Outreach was born.

To reach young men from single family homes to help empower them with the necessary skills to become leaders in their communities through, kindness, servanthood, respect of nature, people and each other.
